As an active member of our community, we would like to offer you the opportunity to get involved with a very successful local event, Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation Ithaca.

Taste of the Nation is the Ithaca’s premier culinary benefit dedicated to making sure that no kid in America grows up hungry.  For the last 20 years Ithaca has hosted this springtime event and thanks to the generosity of area restaurants and the Finger Lakes wineries we have raised over $700,000 for a number of very special organizations here in our community.  If you have attended Taste of the Nation Ithaca you know what a fun and special evening it is.

Two years ago we enlisted a group of 25 active community members to sell tickets and build awareness about this event and the cause. This enabled us to do away with all printed invitations and associated mailing costs and has proven to be very effective. We would like you to consider joining this select team of Ambassadors.

This year’s Taste of the Nation will be held on Tuesday June 15th at the Emerson Suites at Ithaca College, our generous and gracious host for the last seven years!  Committing to being an Ambassador requires that you sell ten tickets to Taste of the Nation Ithaca. In appreciation for your efforts you will receive two tickets to the event.

If you feel confident that you can sell 10 tickets, we would like to invite you to the Ambassador Kick-off Luncheon at The Carriage House Cafe on Tuesday March 23rd from 12:15pm to 1:15pm. There you will meet and learn about Share Our Strength and the local beneficiaries. You will also receive your ten tickets, sales information and talking points.

We truly hope you are excited to be a part of this successful fundraiser. We only have a handful of open spots for this year and we hope you will decide to fill one of them.
